BEWARE THE HIPSTER OF DEATH!

That sounds appropriately scary . . .

This is Der Tod in the Viennese version of the Mayerling Waltzer (Der Tod cosplaying Mary Vetsera . . .). Seeing as how I'm an epic fail at being a drag king, this is based on the original concept of Der Tod as Sisi's dark side, hence the hair braid and Sisi star jewelry (I don't think you can see my stud earrings, but you can see the necklace). The dress is inspired by Uwe Kröger's and Mate Kamaras' dresses in this scene.

What's Tod reading? While I'd love to say its "The Book of Time," unfortunately, its not . . . Its Robert Mauzi's "L'idee de bonheur au XVIIIe Siecle," which I have to read for my Master's Thesis.

Here's some inspirational videos:

Mate Kamaras: [link]

I couldn't find any clear photos of this scene, so I watched the videos to figure out the outfit.

Mine is different: less ruffles on the skirt, stilettos instead of boots, no gloves and no green detail on the top or vines on the dress. The hair is inspired by the Takarazuka Der Tod's, especially Maki Ichiro: [link]

The wig itself is apparently for a Farrah Fawcett cosplay, which is strangely fitting, since Charlie's Angels are the same sort of angels as Der Tod's angels :P

She does look a tad like Tod: [link]
